Ben Chused

By the age of 30 Ben was living in Las Vegas, working long hours in the fast-paced mortgage industry and spending most evenings at a casino poker table—immersed in a shallow, unhealthy and materialistic lifestyle. He eventually hired a personal trainer who stressed the importance of diet, sleep, exercise, posture, and attitude. From there, it didn’t take long for Ben to land at the local yoga studio where the blend of an intense physical practice paired with useful philosophical perspective resonated with him in a very profound way.
Since relocating to Boston in 2009, Ben has continued to study primarily under the guidance and leadership of Natasha Rizopoulos, Ame Wren, and Raghunath Cappo. Ben strives to combine the technical and energetic benefits of the practice into every class and workshop he leads. He provides space for rigorous movement and steady breathing inspired by the Ashtanga and Baptiste methods, along with a detailed exploration of the technical components of the yoga postures inspired by the Iyengar and Anusara methods. Expect to journey toward your edge and be challenged, but in a way that is manageable, interesting, and deeply satisfying.
In addition to completing well over 500 hours of formal RYT training with many master teachers, Ben holds an undergraduate degree in business from Northeastern University and an MBA from Babson College.
